A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, ages 5 and 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. "If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.'" The older boy turned to his younger brother and said, "You be Jesus!"

We would like parents to help donate items for the meal or help in the kitchen. Anyone interested please call or email Peggy Miller (253-4337 or dpmiller@gvtel.com). We would also like any youth (7th-12th grade) to help in the kitchen.
EASTER BREAKFAST

Any youth/parents that are interested in helping, please call or email Peggy Miller. As of now, we are planning scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, toast & muffins.
ALUMINUM CANS
Thank you for saving cans for our youth group. This last bunch of cans will be paying 70 cents/lb. The total will be in the next newsletter. Thank you to Peggy & David Miller for delivering the aluminum to TRF. If we can keep getting this much every few months, it is worth the trip. Next collection time will be mid-June. Any youth parent willing to take the next load to TRF, please call Peggy Miller.
YOUTH GROUP SWIMMING
The Chronicles of Narnia series was written by C.S. Lewis. These books were written with many parallels to Christianity. That is why our youth will be watching the movies from these books. Hopefully, these parallels will help strengthen their faith. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe: Prince Caspian: Please sign up on the bulletin board by May 14th, if you will be going. Friends are welcome! The cost will be $6. This will cover the pizza and the cost of the movie. Any snacks at the theater will be "out of your pocket." Any parents who want to attend or drive, please contact Peggy Miller (dpmiller^g vtel.com or 253-4337). This new motion picture opens on May 16th. We will be taking our Youth (6m-12th grade) to Crookston to this movie on Saturday, May 17th. We will meet at @7:30 at church for pizza, go to the movie, and return for ice cream sundaes/discussion. Exact times will be posted on the bulletin board as soon as we get them. The 6m-12m grade will first watch this 2005 motion picture. It will be showing in the library on April 27th, and May 4th & 11th, during the SS hour. Do not be late! If you haven't seen it, come enjoy the first adventure to the land of Namia. We will also show some insider videos about the upcoming Prince Caspian movie.
Would your youth like to join other ELCA Youth in New Orleans on July 22-26th of 2009? We will have an informational meeting on Mar. 12th, right after the Lenten Service, for any 8th-11th grader and their parents that are interested. This may seem early to plan, but fundraising will be a big part of this venture.
Confirmation
8th Grade confirmation is at 3:30 Wednesdays, 9th Grade at 4:30
